It is so ironic. Due to exuberant medical bills due for surgery for Charlie's cancer we were forced to sell MS. RED! Our 1959 EDSEL (there was a one time original owner since December 1958) when she was ordered, before we bought her. We were the second owner's outside the family. THE TOTAL IRONIC THING ABOUT THIS CAR AND CHARLIE'S CANCER IS we drove her from Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dearborn Michigan for the EDSEL'S 50th ANNIVERSARY in August... SHE WAS SUPERB! After the car show we had to TO PUT HER UP FOR AUCTION. THE WINNING BID WAS MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION IN BOISE IDAHO!!! They are now selling raffle tickets and will give it away at Northwest Motorfest July 5th and 6th! You can click on the link: www.rpmprod.com. to see Ms. Red in all her glory. The money raised will go to grant wishes for children with cancer. Who knew a man with cancer auctions a car and the winning bid being MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION which will support so many children's wishes! Isn't life JUST GRAND! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS! WE HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY EVERYONE OF THEM!

On Saturday and Sunday of 'Motorfest,
every spectator was invited to vote for
their favorite pedal car. After the votes were counted, the winner was
BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY AUTO BODY CLASS and their killer '32.
Pictures don't do this car (or the others) justice. The workmanship into the
pedal cars was simply amazing. All the pedal cars were then auctioned off
with 100% of the money being donated to MAKE-A-WISH Foundation of Idaho.
Total raised? $8,200!!!!!!
For their win, BSU received bragging
rights, $250 cash and a nice
plaque to hang on the wall at school. And they're coming back this
year as the defending champion.
This year's build is Radio Flyer little red wagons.
BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY AUTO BODY CLASS
ROYAL PARKS AUTO BODY / Boise.
TOLSMA AUTO BODY / Caldwell (the top comes off so a child can sit in it.
KENNY'S ROD SHOP / Boise
QUALAFAB / Meridian
Event sponsor: CAPITAL CITY STREET RODS

All builders started with
a stock '32 Ford pedal car.

But, not all the money came from the
'32 Ford Highboy Roadster. $8,200 came from the
Capital City Street Rods Pedal Car Build-off. Local builders were each given
a '32 Ford pedal car
and could do whatever they wanted to them as long as they turned left and
right, peddled forwards
and backwards and a child could sit in them (not necessarily comfortably!)
Here's what they came up with!
Marcia Karakas, Idaho Director of Make-A-Wish.
Kenny Welch, Kenny's Rod Shop, builder of the '32 Roadster.
Jack Armstrong, Northwest Motorfest promoter.
Mark Plafcan, WESCHEM, INC sponsor of the raffle car.

At last year's 'Motorfest, RPM!
Productions presented a check for $45,390 to MAKE-A-WISH
Foundation of Idaho. They'll use that money to grant wishes to children with
life-threatening illnesses.
