put on display at Northwest Motorfest July 5 & 6. Each will have a
ballot box in front
of them. The wagon with the most votes will win $250
cash, a plaque and As the builder, you will receive a
donation form from Make-A-Wish. |
Last year at 'Motorfest we had the
CAPITAL CITY STREET RODS Pedal Car Build-off featuring 5 local
builders customizing their own '32 Ford. Boise State Auto Body
class was voted as the best at 'Motorfest with their Bronco blue and
orange "much modified" creation. Then came the auction. All the
pedal cars were auctioned
off with 100% of the proceeds going to
Make-A-Wish
Foundation of Idaho. Final total? How about $8,200!!!
The build-off is back except this time
we are using the legendary Radio Flyer Wagon! Last year, 5 builders.
This year, 10 builders!
And not just auto body shops. Individuals,
car clubs and organizations.
As for the rules, actually quit
simple.
Wagon must be able to turn right and left using the handle.
Wagon must go forward and backward using the handle.
Child must be able to sit in the wagon BUT NOT NECESSARILY WITH COMFORT. (open to interpretation).
Wagon can not exceed 2' x 4' (excluding the handle). When displayed, they'll sit on a 2' x 4' table.
Wagon can not exceed 2 feet in height (excluding the handle).
Non-motorized.
Must have 4 wheels and a handle.
Other than that ... ANYTHING GOES!!!!! Paint (or lack of paint), sky high or low rider, upholstery or not, custom rims or rusted ones, use the wagon body or make one of your own ... ANYTHING GOES!!!
